babies...for the sake of babies

There is no real reason to post about babies today. I have been done working with them for a few weeks, and have basically just been grinding out the final few things for our studies here. But, since none of that is particularly aesthetically pleasing....here are some more pics of the guys at the nursery.

This is Kaoka....his name means dehydrated, which was his condition upon arrival. he's not dehydrated anymore but you would think he was given how eagerly he is lapping up the water off the table.


this is bayielle. he was really mean to me at first and poked me in the face about 100 times when i wasn't looking....but then he finally softened up. chimps are most aggressive when they are jealous. if they catch you paying attention to someone else and they think it should be them, its actually a dangerous situation because they will probably try to hit you or bite you. bayielle needs a lot of attention.


and this is poungu...the second youngest chimp at the nursery.

this is queeza. she bites worse than anybody. when she does our tests she shakes her head back and forth wildly so i call her queezy wonder. is that mean?
