bonobo afternoons

Things have started slowly here as we are figuring out all the details for our tests. Its been good for me because i've had a chance just to watch the bonobos a bit and to get a feel for their behavior. they are totally different than chimpanzees so its taking a lot of getting used to for me. I've spent a few hours each afternoon just watching the bonobos do their thing...which pretty much consists of this...

laying around...a lot.


eating fruit.

picking at the grass.


stretching out.

and playing with branches.

but its actually much more exciting than it sounds.
