Leaving home

Leaving is the hardest part for sure. This year melissa and I left town together for different destinations. It was bitter sweet because we got to spend the last few hours together at the airport with each other, and napoleon. We turned him into a fetch machine to tire him out for his flight to Austin.



We arrived in one piece but with one of my suitcases missing (should come today). Here is a discreet shot (photos are ileagle in DRC) out the hotel window in Kinshasa. Below you can see downtown kinshasa, the congo river, and congo brazzaville in the distance.




Internet has been rare here so my posts are backdated about a week, but I'll catch things up wherever possible.
